WRP Membership Policy
Membership in the Winding River Players Ensemble Company is both an honor and a privilege and is earned through continued participation in our productions. The policy around Membership in the Company is outlined below and may be amended from time to time at the discretion of the Board.
1. Eligibility
- 1.1. Any person of 18 years of age or older
- 1.2. Any young person with written permission from their primary caregiver
2. Requirements
- 2.1. Any individual who participates in a WRP production in any capacity is a Company member for the duration of the production.
- 2.2. There shall be no dues or fees for membership in the Company
- 2.3. Membership is maintained through active participation in WRP activities.
- 2.4. Participation grants Winding River Players, Inc. permission and release to use the member's photo and theatrical biography for publicity and web site inclusion.
3. Term of Membership
- 3.1. Individual membership in the Company is maintained by continued participation in WRP activities but may be ended by
- 3.1.1. Self-resignation
- 3.1.2. Majority vote of the Board
4. Duties and Responsibilities of Membership in the Company
- 4.1. Communicate availability [1] to Artistic Director
- 4.2. If an individual is participating in a WRP production or activity, the individual will be contractually bound for the duration of the production or activity unless released through just cause.
- 4.3. Members must demonstrate all Good Theatre Practices [2]
- 4.4. Participation grants Winding River Players, Inc. permission and release to use the member's photo and theatrical biography for publicity and web site inclusion.
- 4.5. Members are expected to participate in continuing theatrical education whether within or without theatrical education programs sponsored and/or generated by WRP, Inc
5. Duties and Responsibilities of WRP to Company Members
- 5.1. Provide first consideration for Principal roles in WRP Inc. productions
- 5.2. Pay mileage and/or a stipend as our financial status warrants.
- 5.3. Provide the member with complimentary tickets to the WRP, Inc. production in which that member is currently participating, consistent with the Complimentary Ticket Policy.
- 5.4. Under no circumstances will Winding River Players, Inc., divulge personal information about a member, such as home address, phone number or e-mail, unless that member is a contact person and has given their permission.
- 5.5. Provide such contracts for each WRP, Inc. production that set forth the duties and obligations of both WRP, Inc. and the Member, including but not limited to expected remedies for the breech thereof, related to that individual production
- 5.6. Be listed in each production's program and publicity as a Company member
