Policy – Winding River Players Building Manager Policy
Principle: Winding River Players believes in the full and specific utilization of its assets. for the good of the organizations.
Intent: This policy will define responsibilities around the position of Building Manager
Definitions:
WRP – Winding River Players, Inc
Board – WRP Board of Directors
WRP Building (Black Box Theatre) – That structure owned by WRP, located iin downtown Towanda. It's mailing address is: 415 Main Street, Towanda, Pa., 18848
Building Manager – That individual appointed by the Board to direct the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the building.
Policy:
The Building Manager is appointed and serves at the discretion of the Board and will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the building. The Building Manager will be the liaison between WRP, the landlord, utilities or other agencies connected to the building with the exception of Insurance. All questions and concerns about the above will be directed to the Building Manager.
The Building Manager will
- have full discretion in handling any problems or concerns about the operation, safety or maintenance of the building and grounds
- will have the authority to purchase needed supplies and materials for the normal operation of the building
- will be reimbursed for those expenditures after submitting the receipts to the Treasurer or alternately, may obtain a cash advance for those expenditures with a follow-up of receipts submitted.
- maintain an physical inventory of WRP assets within the building.
- have the authority to delegate responsibility for portions of the total inventory to other Company members
- seek authorization from the Board for any single aggregate expenditure in excess of $200.
- deny any building activity they deem contrary or harmful to the objectives and mission of Winding River Players, Inc. unless that activity is duly authorized by the Board.
